Micro-credential

  • This micro-credential is part of the Advanced Therapies Training Program (ATTP).
  • You will acquire the theoretical foundations of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
  • You will thoroughly refresh your pipetting techniques.
  • You will carry out both manual and automated cell counts.
  • You will receive an introduction to mammalian cell culture and learn how to work aseptically and under sterile conditions.
  • In practical laboratory sessions, you will apply the theory directly.
  • The language of instruction is English.

  • This micro-credential is worth 5 credits.

Programme

  • Day 1: Theoretical introduction to ATMPs
  • Day 2: Practical lab session on correct pipetting, theoretical session on cell culture, and practical lab session on cell counting
  • Day 3: Introduction to sterile and aseptic techniques in cell culture and practical lab session cell culture 1
  • Day 4: Practical lab session cell culture 2
  • Day 5: Practical lab session cell culture 3
  • Day 6: Assessment session

For whom?

  • This micro-credential is for future operators in the production and quality control of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
  • You are already employed* in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological or (bio)chemical sector. You want to broaden your expertise and tailor it to the specific needs of cell and gene therapies.
  • You have recently graduated* as a bachelor or master in biomedical laboratory technology, pharmaceutical laboratory technology or (bio)chemistry.
  • No prior knowledge of cell culture is required.
The theoretical lessons gave me a deeper understanding of the different types of ATMPs and how our company fits within this field. I also now have a clearer sense of why we perform certain procedures in the lab, as this course goes deeper into important details and points of interest.

Fee

  • The fee for this micro-credential is €1,300.
  • The fee includes lab experience and expert guidance.
  • VAT is not applicable.
